Road riding tours with Free Motion

Do you want to discover the most spectacular road tours on Gran Canaria with like-minded cyclists? Riding in small groups, one can enjoy the riding and absorb the amazing landscape at the same time. The Guide can vary the distances to fit the tempo of the group, and control regular optional stops. Repairing small mechanical problems is part of the service too. With something more serious the Free Motion service vehicle will be summoned.

Tour Details

Monte Leon every monday 40 km and 600 HM Introduction tours – also suitable for the beginner! The Monte Leon route is ideal for warming up and for acclimatizing to the island. Especially for beginners and riders wishing to build up their condition, this round is the perfect first choice. We ride through an idyllic reed valley, up to the reservoir, then the first climb, an amazing view of the mountains and infamous Maspalomas coast line. Then a fast twisty descent to the coast and a scenic warm down ride around Maspalomas and Melonares

Soria Valley every Tuesday, 60km 1000hm Riding south west on fast smooth roads, we pass to Cercados de Espino. To continue, we have a beautiful climb through windy mountain roads to Soria. Return from Soria the same route.

East Coast Classic every Wednesday - 80km und 1500hm We ride out along the coast with the Atlantic ocean at our side heading north until Sardina. Turning left we head inland, up over a short scenic climb to the village of Agümes and then a further climb over Temisas to Santa. Lucia. The beautiful descent from San Bartolomé into the green Fataga valley, leads us to a short sharp climb to the Mirador de Fataga before we head down and back to the start point.

Puerto de Mogan every Thursday, 66km 900hm A rolling start along the breath-taking 30km long sea road to Puerto de Mogan. This is a beautiful fishing village to stop and relax with a coffee. Back along the same route to Playa del Inglés.

St. Lucia Tour every Freitag, 70 km 1300hm Today the wonderful route to Fataga, past Aborginal World and the 1st sprint of the day up to Mirador de Fataga, where one of the best views of the Gran Canyon awaits us. A cool descent to the valley of the 1000 palms trees, before we climb all the way to Risco Blanco and then descend to Santa Lucia. A twisty and fast rolling road takes us down to Vecindario, and the famous tail wind back to the start point.

Summit Tour every Saturday, 100-150km 2500-3000hm We start this big ride to the top of the island from Free Motion and on up to Fataga and Ayacata and then finally the last stretch through the high mountain pines, to the famous Pico de las Nieves. We descend to Ingenio, and take in amazing all round views. Fantastic epic riding all day!!
