Why Gran Canaria?
A good question with an easy answer, Gran Canaria has practically the same climate all year round, so whenever you can get away for a break, then we can almost guarantee the weather. There are no closed periods, no freezing winters, no fog just warm sunshine and great riding all the time.

Free Motion Guides and Support
All our guides are chosen for their people skills, mechanical knowledge and riding ability. All of us have in-depth of the island, the routes, trails, cafes and weather. So don’t be surprised to find yourself in the coolest part of the island at the hottest time of the day or getting a welcome extra portion of food in a mountain restaurant! On our leisure rides there is the support bus to take the strain, should our guides recognise that you would appreciate a break! On our road rides a very flexible approach allows the guides to add or take away extra loops from the stage if the hills are winning or losing that day’s battle!

How long is a day’s ride!
All the rides have more or less the same times, although the distances may change. The road rides (see profiles) have more or less fixed distances, but the off road is more dependent on the terrain and the speed of the group. Taking into account the various stops and starts for the odd photo op,lunch or puncture etc, you should expect to be back in the Free Motion Outdoor Centre blowing the froth off a cold one at about 4pm.

Riding Level Required?
You are our client, so if you want to ride slow and have an easy ride then we will see to it that that is what you experience. Conversely if you are an absolute dynamo of energy and want to push your limits then watch out because Gran Canaria has the steepest climbs in Europe and the nastiest head winds in the world. Just ask the world class wind surfers that spend their training time here!! You’ll meet like-minded riders from all over Europe as well so expect to have a whole new set of friends to email when you get back!

Booking Notice?
Gran Canaria is popular place with all sports genres and that in turn has an impact on accommodation, so booking minimum 1 month in advance is very advisable, but if you have seen a cheap flight going to Gran Canaria and want to know if you can have a place with us, then contact us straightaway and we will almost certainly fit you in somewhere!
