We begin our day up at the edge of the dark forest up in the centre of the island. Walking down through the silent paths, we are surrounded by towering rock formations, the result of violent volcanic eruptions. The valley hides many barely inhabited |
villages from a previously time, when the hills were filled with abundant fruits, figs and almond terraces. We wind down our day at the famous cave houses of Guayadeque for some refreshments and a quiet moment in cave church. |
