Heading eastwards out of Playa del Ingles, you’ll have the morning sun glinting off the sea as you ride along the coast road. Once past the aerodrome, get ready for a headwind which thankfully disappears as soon as you turn inland for the long but steady climb up to Santa Lucia. |
You’ll see the massive valley of Lomo de Gallego and the imposing but tragic Fortaleza. You’ll cross the ridge after lunch and descend back through impressive valleys to Playa del Ingles. Save something for the last kick before home! |
