Preihs Franz completed 2.5 weeks of extrem hard training with daily 8 to 10 hours on the bike, nearly 300 km and over 4,000 hm. Together with with the ultra cycling legend Jure Robic he has prepared himself for the upcoming season on Gran Canaria .

Franz Preihs and Jure Robic are well known in the long-distance cycling scene: both aspire to the absolute limit, still looking for even greater competitive challenges that begin stamina where others put an end long ago. As with the annual Race Across America (RAAM), the toughest bicycle race in the world: about 5000 kilometers with over 30,000 meters must be completed across the United States. 8 days, 9 hours and 51min was the so far the very best performance by Jure Robics, winning the RAAM 4 times.

To train with Jure Robics is a real workout: "Jure Robic is an absolute professional of whom I can learn more than any other cyclist. I have never been so strong at this time of the season and looking confidently in the new season. The common work is really inspiring! " said Franz Preihs.

The next big event is in May, the so called "Race around Slowenia". This nonstop circumnavigation with a distance of 1185 kilometers and approx. 13,000 meters of altitude in total is known as a conditional form of verification for the next RAAM on the 8th of June.
